Buy addons, link existing purchases, install product updates, and contact the studio.
Install the launcher
Windows: Open the Windows installer and follow its setup steps. Then open AionSkyStudios Launcher from Start.
Mac: Choose Apple silicon (arm64) or Intel (x64), unzip the archive, and move the app to Applications. These release candidate packages require macOS 13 or later and are unsigned; native validation and signing are pending. Follow Apple's normal security checks before opening trusted software.
Debian: Install the amd64 package with sudo apt install ./AionSkyStudios-Launcher-0.2.3-Debian-amd64.deb, then open the launcher from your applications menu. This package requires native Linux validation before public distribution.
I am a new buyer
Choose Sign in → Create account. Enter your name, email and password, then use Sign in > Confirm email to enter the code from your email. You do not need owner approval to create an account or buy a product.
Open Store and select your simulator edition. Review its description, price, platform availability and digital purchase policy.
Choose Buy with PayPal. Review the seller and amount on PayPal and finish checkout. Return to the launcher; if payment has not yet updated your library, use the payment confirmation option in My library. Only a verified completed payment grants access.
Close X-Plane. In Settings choose your X-Plane 11 or 12 installation folder (the folder containing the simulator, not Resources/plugins).
Open My library → Install. Keep the launcher open until installation finishes. Start X-Plane afterwards.
I already bought through simMarket or the X-Plane Store
Create and confirm a launcher account. Your launcher email can differ from the purchase email; enter the original receipt information below.
Choose Link purchase. Select the store and exact product edition; enter the order number, purchaser name and purchase email exactly as they appear on the receipt.
Submit for studio review. The owner checks your receipt manually. There is no automatic mailbox or store registry verification.
Check the claim status. Approval adds that edition to your library. If declined, read the reason and contact Support with the corrected information.
Launcher updates
Version 0.2.2 and later checks the studio’s published launcher announcement every 30 seconds while running. A newer version for your operating system and processor displays a download banner and a desktop notification (when enabled). Download the installer and install it manually. Earlier launchers must first be updated to 0.2.2 to gain this feature.
Get product updates
Choose Follow updates on your product. Updates appear in the Updates tab. Desktop notifications require permission and the launcher to be running; enable Keep running in Settings if desired. Email alerts require the studio's email service to be configured and your email preference enabled. Close X-Plane before updating. The launcher verifies downloads and preserves backups; use Rollback in My library if you need the previous installation.
Read changelogs
Open Changelogs and filter by product. These notes are written and published manually by the studio. A new download does not automatically create an entry. Release installation notes may also appear separately under Updates.
Support and donations
Open Support to create a ticket, include the simulator edition, operating system, version and error, and return there for replies. Never send passwords or payment card details in tickets.
Open Donations, select or enter an amount, and review the recipient and amount on PayPal before paying. Donations support future addon development and do not grant a product licence. PayPal holds donation receipts and transaction history.
Studio owner
Sign in with your owner account from the allowed network. Owner access is controlled on the server, not by a visible button. A changed public IP can block owner tools until the allowlist is updated in Supabase Vault.
Products → Pictures: Upload, caption, reorder or remove slideshow photos. The first image is the cover. Saving changes updates connected Windows, Mac and Linux launchers on their next refresh, normally within 30 seconds.
Marketing: Edit the Discover headline, promotion, image and button destination. Choose an existing cover/photo or upload an image. You can also configure your public PayPal hosted donation button ID. These settings are shared across platforms.
Changelogs → Add entry: Select a product and enter a version, title, date and notes. Save as Draft to keep it private. Select Published when ready. Edit an entry whenever needed; change it back to Draft to unpublish. Uploading or publishing a release does not write or modify these entries.
Launcher updates: Enter the new launcher version, notes and tested Windows/Mac/Linux public download links. Save Draft or publish. Only platforms with a download link receive a notice. Upload installers to Supabase’s public launcher-files bucket or a GitHub release before adding their links.
Releases: Create a draft, write installation notes and upload the correct Windows, Mac and Linux ZIPs. Verify their simulator edition and test installation before publishing. Turn on product sales only when its release and payment checks are ready.
Store claims: Compare the name, email, order and edition with your sales records, then approve or decline with a reason. Approval grants access to that product, not owner access.
Customers / Support desk / Orders: Review accounts and last sign-ins, correct profile information, manage product access, reply to tickets and inspect launcher purchase records.
Product metadata, claims, accounts, support, changelogs and promotions live in Supabase. Product ZIPs live in private Storage; product images live in public Storage. Simulator folders, installation records and backups remain on each customer's computer. Product updates and content changes do not require a launcher rebuild; launcher code changes do.
